My Story

Ever since I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a nurse. The Lord made my dream come true in May of 1987, after I graduated from Eastern Florida State College’s nursing program. I have been an OB/GYN nurse in Brevard County since 1990 and  have over 16 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse. Teaching new parents how to care for themselves and their newborn baby has always brought me immense joy. Breastfeeding support is crucial during the transition to parenthood. As a result, in April of 2021 I became a Certified Lactation Counselor. My passion is in encouraging mommas in the realization that they are worthy to love and breastfeed their new baby. Another exciting part of my nursing career has been teaching sibling classes, which I have had the opportunity to do for over 20 years. I love the challenge of helping little people come out of their shell and laugh while learning how to hold a baby, swaddle, and change a diaper in anticipation of their new brother or sister. These are just a few topics we touch on during our time together in Sibling Class while giving children a tangible opportunity to prepare for such a profound change in their lives.

Around the same time that I began my dream job as a Registered Nurse, my husband and I began planning our own family. We are blessed with four amazing children, who are now all grown. The Lord called us to homeschool our children and we are enjoying the fruits of being faithful to his calling. Each day we watch our children live their lives in ways unique to their specific gifts, talents, and callings, while contributing to society in a way that glorifies their Savior, Jesus Christ. I have now been further blessed to have earned the title “Mimi” to five beautiful grandbabies.

During my personal time, I love sharing about my savior, Jesus Christ, and spending time with my family  and our friends. I also enjoy spending time outside in the  yard and at my barn with the critters, especially my horse, Raisin! I'm thrilled to help you reach your birthing, breastfeeding and mothering goals!
