Mother Breastfeeding Baby

"Breastfeeding reminds us of the universal truth of abundance; the more we give out, the more we are filled up, and that divine nourishment - the source from which we all draw - is, like a mother's breast, ever full and ever flowing."

-Sarah Buckley M.D.

Providing infants with mother's milk, the most protective, beneficial, and tailormade first food for babies, is the foundation for a life of good health and the nourishment nature intended. Although lactation is a natural process, the act of breastfeeding is a learned skill and in many ways an art where both mommy and baby are working together to create their very own masterpiece, an experience unique to each mommy/baby partnership.

Our Board Certified Lactation Consultant(IBCLC), Christy, will work carefully and compassionately with you and your support system (spouse, partner, family, physician, etc.) to overcome feeding challenges and reach the breastfeeding goals you have for you and your family. You are in good hands with us.

Here are some of the more common breastfeeding issues along with the inner

  • "Why do my breasts feel like rocks?" Let's investigate engorgement and ways to keep mom comfortable.

  • "My baby seems hungry all of the time. Am I making enough milk?" Let's investigate the baby's latch, a possible growth spurt and take a closer look at feeding frequency and duration.

  • "My freezer is filling up fast with pumped milk! Is this normal?" For some women, yes. Let's talk about breastfeeding frequency, technique and milk supply.

  • "Why are my nipples cracking?" Let's take a closer look at the baby's latch and breastfeeding positioning techniques.

  • "I love breastfeeding my baby but how do I store milk and get my baby to take a bottle?" Let's work together to set up a manageable pumping and feeding plan for going back-to-work.
